Casablanca Stock Exchange Begins Up


The Casablanca Stock Exchange started its last session of the year slightly higher, its two main indices, Masi and Madex, each taking 0.06%.

 Thus, the Masi, a global index made up of all equity-type stocks, advanced to 12,201.53 points and the Madex, a compact index made up of continuously quoted stocks, totaled 9,945.72 points.

 Regarding international indices, the FTSE CSE Morocco 15 fell 0.10% to 10,937.39 points and the FTSE Morocco All-Liquid remained almost stable (-0.01%) at 10,479.27 points.

 The Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) "Casablanca ESG 10" benchmark rose 0.01% to 947.54 points.

 In values, IB Maroc.com gained 9.98%, thus signing the largest increase at the start of trading, followed by Société des Beverages du Maroc (+ 1.79%) and Mutandis SCA (+ 1.43%).

 In addition, Sodep-Marsa Maroc gained 0.72%, Afriquia Gaz 0.55% and Attijariwafa Bank 0.20%.

 On the downside, Stroc Industrie dropped 3.85%, Atlanta lost 2.54%, while the real estate trio, Res Dar Saada, Douja Prom Addoha and Alliances, lost respectively 2.40%, 1.75% and 1.08  %.

 Label Vie (-0.44%) and Itissalat Al-Maghrib (-0.13%) were also among the declines at the start of the day.

 As regards the most active stocks, Label Vie drained 151.31 million dirhams (MDH), Afriquia Gaz 48.56 MDH and Sodep-Marsa Maroc 3.42 MDH.

 The day before, the Casablanca Stock Exchange had closed its exchanges in the green, the Masi and the Madex taking 0.04% each
